Changing Lives Through Horses (BHS)

We’re proud to support the British Horse Society’s Changing Lives Through Horses programme — using the power of horses and the outdoors to help young people build confidence, learn new skills, and re-engage with education and the community.

What it is

Changing Lives Through Horses is a structured programme delivered at approved centres, focusing on personal development, life skills, and wellbeing through equine activities and stable management.

How we take part

  • Sessions led by qualified, safeguarding-aware instructors

  • Individual goals and progress tracking

  • Supportive, calm environment with well-schooled horses and ponies

  • Collaboration with parents/carers, schools and local services

Who it’s for

Young people who may benefit from alternative, practical learning — including those experiencing low confidence, anxiety, school non-attendance, or who just thrive with hands-on, animal-assisted learning.

We welcome enquiries from schools, parents/carers, and professionals. We can discuss timetables, outcomes, and any available funding routes.
